I grew up in a Haitian immigrant household where my parents had seen extreme poverty firsthand. From as early as I can remember, my mother instilled in me and my siblings that education was everything. It wasn’t just about books or grades; it was the way to escape poverty, to have a better life, and to grow into the people we were meant to be.

There were moments when life felt heavy, opportunities seemed limited, and the future felt uncertain. But every single time I walked into a classroom, something inside of me shifted. Learning new things, especially topics that sparked my curiosity, filled me with joy and gave me hope. I loved the classroom so much that I used to tell myself, “If I could be a student forever, I would.”

Education gave me freedom. It opened doors to jobs, scholarships, and leadership roles I never thought possible. More importantly, it shaped me into someone who believes in growth, resilience, and second chances. And that’s why I am so passionate about helping others experience the same transformation.
